In the case of foreign-owned businesses, the possibilities are discussed with clients and their foreign advisors from the standpoint of liability, management, transferability of interests and taxation, etc. In doing so, the firm reviews a client's worldwide legal structure in order to achieve a U.S. structure which is consistent with business and tax objectives. Once the review has been performed and the entities formed, Sherwood Associates can handle all aspects of "corporate housekeeping."
